Sensor tests

Depending on the environment where it is used, AIBO may not be able to
recognize color or the controller's sound. Before starting a game, always check to
see if AIBO's sensors function correctly in the given environment (light/sound
tests). You can also practice the correct way of pressing the touch sensor (touch
test). Use the controller or pad sensors to execute a test.
z To do a test with the controller, go directly to each testing procedure
(next page).
z To do a test with the pad sensor, first set
AIBO to the test mode by pressing the
pad sensor on the left front-leg.
The eye lights will turn on as illustrated.
Now you can proceed with individual sensor tests
(next page).
