Pull the worn belt (from the rear) to the double
pulley
assembly
and
lift
the
belt
over
the
pulley.
Reverse the procedure in replacing the new
belt.
Be sure the idler pulley is on the outside of
the belt. Refer to the belt diagram decal on
the mower deck for correct belt installation.
Be sure only an authorized
belt is used in the
replacement.
Refer
to the parts
list for the
part number
of the correct replacement
belt.

the
adjustment
if more
belt take-up
is
needed. Additional
adjustment
can be obtained
by
movement
of idler
pulley #2 after idler
pulley #1
has been moved the full length
of the adjustment
slot.
To obtain
additional
adjustment,
move idler
pulley
#2 towards
the outside.
When
the
idler
pulley
has
been
tightened,
relocate
the
belt
restrictor
in the positioning
slot.
This
belt
is
of
a
special,
high
strength
construction.
However,
after
5-10
hours
of
operation,
a slight
adjustment
may be required.
To adjust,
move
the
idler
pulley
towards
the
engine
pulley
about
1/8".
To check
the
belttension,
raise mower
height
of cut to the highestposition.
The belt must release when disengaged.
