    Instruction and Maintenance Handbook FOREWORD This handbook provides the personnel in charge of the machine's functioning and those in charge of the machine's ordinary maintenance with all information necessary to work under safety conditions. This user's handbook is an integral part of the machine and contains the information necessary for machine's funcioning and maintenance.

Therefore the number of operators shown for each of them and the required qualifications are the most suitable to perform the function in the best way.

    Any possible changes have to be asked directly to Zonzini S.r.l., by specifing all the machine feature data and the grounds. If approved, they have to be performed only by Zonzini's authorized personnel and upon his specific instructions.

    Instruction and Maintenance Handbook The hereunder described signals are reported on the machine. It needs to read them carefully and to memorize their meaning. We recommend that danger symbols have to be always clean and in a good condition. If necessary they have to be replaced with other original ones, requiring them to the Manufacturing-House.

    WARRANTY Inspect the machine on delivery to check any transport damages. Any complaints have to be sent written to the company Zonzini S.r.l. by 8 days from the receipt. The warranty is valid for 12 months for mechanical parts from the purchase date. As for batteries the warranty is valid for 6 months from the purchase date.

    Instruction and Maintenance Handbook SAFETY RULES 3.1. Generalities The use of machine is allowed only to one operator. It is absolutely forbidden to remove or change any safety catches. Any monoeuvrings and the use of machine are only allowed to personnel in charge who should have read and assimilated the contents of this handbook.

Checks and advice before setting at work Before setting the machine at work, the operator has to:  Check the intactness of machine, the right placement and functioning of safety devices, the right winding of toothed belts on pulleys, the intactness and the total fixing of the chain drive and the gears.

  • Page 15 Instruction and Maintenance Handbook Pickup handles Before every use it is important to charge trolleys battery package, following this procedure: press the emergency stop button, check that the key is in Off position. In this way the trolley is completely disconnected from batteries.
  • Page 16 Instruction and Maintenance Handbook To recharge the battery package, it needs to insert the connector of battery charger, as shown in the figure, and to link the red connector of battery charger to the red connector of battery package and then to insert the plug of battery charger into a source of 220 v current provided with safety systems provided for by the law.
  • Page 17 Instruction and Maintenance Handbook 1st Phase: Grip preparation (Buddy only) Before loading Buddy-model, please check if the pickup handles are well fixed and tight, and adjust the inclination of the grip in the most suitable way for the load handling. 2nd Phase: fixing the load After having put the load on the base and leant it against Buddy structure, please make use of the suitable fastening belts to bind the object to be carried.
  • Page 18 Instruction and Maintenance Handbook 3rd Phase: ascent After having fixed the load, turn the emergency stop button and turn the machine on. Put the selector in position nr. "1" (=ascending). Castors will be automatically prepared for ascending. Move the trolley near the step and make sure that the trolley is ALWAYS leaned to it. Fig.

Put the selector in position nr. "2" (=descending) and castors will be automatically positioned, in this case, for discending.

    Instruction and Maintenance Handbook MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS The maintenance has to be done by skilled personnel under strict observance of what prescribed in this handbook. Before doing the maintenance, please take all possible precautions. Before doing a maintenance or performing a control, please clean always the work area, and make use of suitable tools in a good condition.

Malfunctions and troubleshooting Hereunder some types of the easiest and most probable failures that can undermine the safety and good working of machine. If malfunctions should persist or come up again, it is necessary to apply to a specialized technician. For any operation on the machine please take all possible precautions.

    Instruction and Maintenance Handbook DISMANTLING AND DISPOSAL The machine is composed by different materials such as: steel, rubber and electrical material, therefore it needs to be disposed according to the laws in force in the country utilization. After the disassembly of rubber wheels and of the electrical part, the authorized personnel has to divide the components according to the material they are composed by and the authorized personnel has to dispose of them according to the laws in force in the country of utilization.
