Glue the anti-rotation aluminum pins in the stabilizers with Hysol E-20HP. Make sure that the pins extend from the root by 10 mm. Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...
  • Page 14: Aileron And Flap Servos

Here is the aileron simulation: The flaps need a more powerful servo of at least 300 oz.in. We recommend the JR 8711HV. Maximum speed for takeoff flaps is 115 mph: Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...

The gluing surface should be scuffed off and drilled as per the pictures below. Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...
  • Page 17 Check the CNC machined slot in the control surface. It should allow a good clearance around the horn fiber for a good bond. Verify the alignment with the pushrod out of the servo hatch. Enlarge/ modify if necessary. Flaps control horn Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...

  • Page 20: Rudder Servo

We recommend the use of a high quality digital servo of at least 200 oz.in for the rudder. The JR 8711 is our preferred choice for this control. Here is the flight control simulation: Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...

Make sure you place the tanks properly ( left/ right ) without overstressing the mini formers. The special bacquet seat will lock the tanks in position. Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...
  • Page 25 The main tank will be full when fuel comes from the air vent tube. When tanks are full, close the filling tubing. The air vent must be open before flying. Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...

  • Page 27: Ecu Installation

ECU installation: Place the ECU on the Ultimate Jets engine tray, just behind the fuel buffer tank. Fit the fuel pump and valves at the front of the ECU and hold them with tie wraps. This setup is designed to allow easy balancing and the shortest possible fuel line supply to the pump to avoid cavitation.

25 mm. Install the Ultimate Jets carbon bypass system. This bypass is designed to optimize top speed and reduce the venturi effect. If the engine is installed too far aft inside the bellhousing, this will increase the venturi effect dramatically and could vacuum the fuselage as well as create engine stall conditions in certain regimes.

In other hand if the nose drops considerably move the batteries aft or add weight in the tail. An easy way to adjust the CG on the Diamond is to separate the wings from the fuselage for a few mm and to slide a strong rope between the wings and under the fuselage placed at the proper location with a large knot at the tip.
  • Page 38 Pay a close attention to structural integrity. This jet could reach speeds of over 500 km/h - 300 mph if not handled properly. It is your responsibility to operate it safely and comply with AMA regulations. Specifications may change without notice. Ultimate Jets - Diamond assembly manual - Revision 4 - 01/01/2015...
