Starting Engine
Note:
Follow steps in BEFORE STARTING
section.
1.
Open fuel shut off valve (Fig. 12).

Move throttle lever to FAST
(Fig. 13).

When engine is cold, push primer three (3) times
if outside temperature is over 40 F (Fig. 14). If
outside temperature is under 40 F, push primer
five (5) times. Wait about two (2) seconds
between each push.
Note:
Do not use primer to restart a warm
engine after a short shutdown.

Hold blade control bail against upper handle
(Fig. 15).
Pull starter handle (Fig. 15) lightly until
resistance is felt, then pull sharply. Let rope
return to handle slowly.

Note:
If engine fails to start after three (3)
pulls, repeat steps 2–5.
Regulate throttle as desired between
