    Floor mat installation Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet. Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets. Turn the upper knob of each retaining hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in place.
  • Page 12 Hybrid System Your vehicle is a hybrid vehicle. It has characteristics different from conventional vehicles. Be sure you are closely familiar with the characteristics of your vehicle, and operate it with care. The hybrid system combines the use of a gasoline engine and an electric motor (traction motor) according to driving conditions, improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions.

    Power (Ignition) Switch Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person starts the hybrid system or changes power switch modes. ■ Starting the hybrid system Check that the parking brake is set. Check that the shift lever is in P. Firmly depress the brake pedal.

Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.

    EV Drive Mode In EV drive mode, electric power is supplied by the hybrid battery (traction battery), and only the electric motor (traction motor) is used to drive the vehicle. Turns EV drive mode on/off When EV drive mode is turned on, the EV drive mode indicator will come on.

    Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (if equipped) In vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the vehicle automatically accelerates and decelerates to match the speed changes of the preceding vehicle even if the accelerator pedal is not depressed. In constant speed control mode, the vehicle runs at a fixed speed. Use the dynamic radar cruise control on freeways and highways.

The LDA system recognizes visible white or yellow lines with the camera sensor on the upper portion of the front windshield.
