RM80 components and elements. RM80 ENGINE - COMPONENTS AND ELEMENTS MOTOR This engine is especially conceived and created for the sport of Paramotor. It is a two- stroke monocylindrical engine of 80 cc, high compression, cooled by forced air maintaining temperature of the motor at its best and high performance.
  • Page 4: Starting Up The Engine

RM80 components and elements. Revisions and checks during this phase are detailed on section Maintenance, First 10 hours. If you feel the engine is loosing power, it may be due to a poor carburation because it is not properly adjusted or because the filter is dirty. Depending on the altitude, you will have to readjust the carburation in order to avoid it being too poor.
  • Page 5: Adjustment Of The Carburation

RM80 components and elements. ADJUSTMENT OF THE CARBURATION The manufacturer has adjusted the carburettor before delivery. If you are not totally sure how to control this type of adjustment, avoid any action since this carburettor is quite stable at any heights and temperatures.

Warning. 10 WARNING It needs to be conscious that the motor can stop, have a breakup or to go off in any moment. This could lead a crash to the ground or a landing in hostile areas with possible damages/death of the pilot or other people. The ultralight moved by this motor must fly in permitted spaces to it, not to fly above a crowd of people, inhabited centers, zones that have difficult or void landings, not to fly above zones of water or where is possible to drown.
  • Page 11: Get Ready For The Use

Get Ready for the Use. GET READY FOR THE USE PROPELLER MOUNTING Be sure to possess a suitable and guaranteed propeller by Vittorazi for your motor. Attention: the propeller can be mounted in two opposite position in comparison to the reduction drive, which only one is correct. Ask to the authorized dealer or to the instructor, if you are not certain for the assemblage of the propeller.
  • Page 12: Starting And Turning Off

Get Ready for the Use. 12 During the operation of decanting, mixing, filling, choose an open place, ventilated, clean and away from dusts, sand, grass and everythings that can obstruct the passage of the gasoline. If possible while filling the tank of the aircraft, filter the mixture. Be sure that the tank for the transport gasoline, filter and funnel, is perfectly always clean.

Get Ready for the Use. CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT 4.5.1 A SIMPLE AND FAST CONTROL Don’t have any experience or affinity with the motors? Don’t worry, you follow step by step what we tell you in this paragraph. From years our ambition is to furnish a simple product and accessible to everybody, trying to get simple and effective solutions for who doesn’t have experience of adjustement of motor.
  • Page 14: Break-In

Get Ready for the Use. 14 Attention: if the carburation of the motor (the quantity of gasoline that arrive to the motor) is poor, therefore the opening of the screw is lower in comparison to the indications of the chart, will probably occur breakups as seizures, overheatings, fusions of the piston, precocious usury of the components.

Manteinance. We advise: to correctly have the procedures of starting, in fact when the spark-plug receives too gasoline from the carburetor, it stops temporarily working or sometimes definitely. We advise to replace the spark-plug every 25 hours of use, so you will always have a good coverage of operation.

Ros 125 Engine, Components and Elements. PA125 ENGINE, COMPONENTS AND ELEMENTS ENGINE This engine is especially conceived and created for the sport of Paramotoring. It is a two-stroke monocylinder engine of 125 c.c., high compression, cooled by forced air — maintaining temperature of the motor at its best—, variable ignition and high performance.
  • Page 28: Starting The Engine

Ros 125 Engine, Components and Elements. STARTING THE ENGINE It is forbidden to start the engine without the propeller and/or the reductor gear. A two- stroke engine has very little mass and without the load of these elements, it reaches its maximum revolutions in a fraction of a second.

INLET WALBRO CARBURETTOR COLD START: In order to start from cold, prime the engine with the petrol from the fuel feeder pump (PIC. 25) at the same time pushing the button on the carburettor (PIC. 25B). Then, use full-throttle when you pull the starting rope.
  • Page 30 Ros 125 Engine, Components and Elements. 30 WALBRO CARBURETTOR This ROS125 engine is fitted with a Walbro 24, the same carburettor as Top80 engine. It could be necessary to change carburation according to the season —spring/summer and autumn/ winter—, and to the altitude. It is extremely important for the best engine efficiency and its own life to keep your carburettor adjustment under the best conditions..

FUEL The Walker jet engine is designed to function with a GASOLINE/OIL mixture. We recommend using full-synthetic based oils. During the running-in stage, use an oil percentage of 3% (33:1), and then 2,5% (40:1) once this stage has been completed. The gasoline must have an octane number taht is not lower than 95, in order not to run into pre-ignition...
  • Page 35: Carburation

CARBURATION N.B. In this paragraph the term „MIXTURE“ refers to the combination of the two elements: (air) + (oil\gasoline) that takes place inside the carburetor. Changes in atmospheric conditions and height affect the functioning of the engine, in that they vary the density of the air, as a result the air\oil\gasoline mixture ratio is modified.
