Audi R8 Carbon Fiber Handbrake Install Instructions

Instructions

Undo the rear trim of the handbrake by pushing down

and back as shown in the picture.

This picture shows the trim piece undone from the

handbrake. Remove the small retaining clip that is on

the top of the handbrake grip.

Page 2 Pull up on the handbrake. Insert a screwdriver through the seam in the leather. There is a hole on the bottom of the handbrake under the seam. Look at the carbon piece to see where it is located. Press up firmly. Slide the handbrake off. Note: By using the screwdriver to press up into the hole, the metal clip (highlighted in second picture) is being disengaged from the handbrake rod.
Page 3 Secure the rear trim piece back onto the handbrake by pushing down and then forward. Now you are all finished and you now have a beautiful carbon fiber handbrake to complement the other carbon in the car!
