Front Face Light Kit
Installation Instructions
Model:
AVFL42RLK
for use on AVFL42 Gas Fireplaces
The Front Face Light Kit is designed for use on the AVFL42
model fireplace and provides indirect lighting framing the
fireplace flames.
NOTE: The Front Face Light Kit requires installation of
the Face Kit AVFL42WCSS or AVFL42WFBT and is as-
sembled at the same time as the Face Kit.
NOTE: If the Face Kit, AVFL42WCSS or AVFL42WFBT
has already been installed on the fireplace, it would be
easiest to remove the face, disassemble all parts and fol-
low these instructions.
Read these instructions thoroughly before beginning
installation.
CAUTION: Allow fireplace to cool completely if it has
been in operation.

12, #8 x 3/8" Truss Head Screws
Tools required: Screwdriver
Installation Instructions
1. Arrange face parts face down on a non-damaging
surface such as a carpeted floor.
2. Arrange rope light brackets to align with screw holes
in face. NOTE: The angle goes to inside of face kit
frame. Figure 1
3. Screw face parts together with light brackets in place
using 8 (eight) #8 x 3/8" truss-head screws supplied.

4. Install 22 clips in holes in light brackets. NOTE: Clips
go to the outside of the brackets. Figure 2
5. Install the supplied #8 x 3/8" screws into the bracket at
each corner of the face to eliminate gaps that may be
present on the front and sides of the face where parts
meet. Tighten slowly only until gap is eliminated. Do
not over-tighten. The screw which is perpendicular to
the face should always be installed first. Figure 3
