Warning:
During the installation, ensure that the electrical and pneumatic connections do not become
contaminated or damaged.
Always ensure that the battery has been disconnected and that no voltage is present before
starting any work on the vehicle's electrical system.
Should the electrical plug and / or the pneumatic connection on the hose/cable harness adapter
prove to be incompatible with the vehicle's connections, then these connections must be made by
a specialist workshop.
If an original seat without electrical comfort functions is being replaced by a RECARO seat, then
the electrical plug for the vehicle on the supplied hose/cable harness adapter can be removed.
The cable harness must then be connected up to a suitable power source inside the vehicle by a
specialist. See the circuit diagram in Chapter 5.
Despite great care having been taken in the design of the electrical plug and / or the pneumatic
connections on the hose/cable harness adapter, it cannot be ruled out that these may be
incompatible with some vehicle connections. In this case, please inform Adient Components Ltd. &
Co. KG (see address on the last page).
When installing the seat, ensure that adequate space remains between the seat and the cabin's
components (e.g. tipping activator, control units). It might be necessary to reposition any cabin
components which may impede smooth running (e.g. tipping activator).
It should also be ensured that no objects are stored underneath the seat in the interior of the
console, which could result in damage to the connection lines for the seat.
It should also be guaranteed that sufficient space is available for the seat's swinging movements.
