Low Voltage Flagpole Light Installation Instructions

Tools Needed: Wire strippers, #2 Phillips screwdriver, electrical tape.
Parts Supplied: Light Assembly (with mounting hardware), Transformer (with mounting hardware), Mounting
Stake, Surface Mount Base, 50 feet 12-2 Cable, (2) Wire Nuts.
WARNING: HANDLING HOT LAMP/BULB CAN CAUSE BURNS. WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING LAMP/BULB.
FAILURE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Do not plug in the Power Transformer until instructed to do
so.
2. Mount Light Assembly to Mounting Stake or Surface Mount:
For use with Mounting Stake - Screw
Mounting Stake (see Fig 1) to bottom of
Fixture. Push into the ground at desired
location and recess stake below ground level.
For use with Surface Mount - Route the
lead wire from the Light Fixture through the
opening in the bottom of the Surface Mount
Base. Screw the Surface Mount Base (see Fig
2) to the bottom of the Light Fixture. Secure
the Surface Mount Base to a surface using
the supplied fasteners.
3. Remove or strip 1/2 inch of the outer jacket
off the end of the 50 foot 12-2 Cable that
does not have the Electrical Connectors
attached. See Fig 3.
4. Connect the end of the 50 foot 12-2 Cable
that has the installed Electrical Connectors
to the Power Transformer. If the Power
Transformer electrical Tabs have screws
and hardware attached, remove and
discard. See Fig 4.
5. Run the 50 foot cable to the Light Fixture.
6. Using the included Wire Nuts (see Fig 5),
connect each wire from the end of the 50
foot 12-2 Cable (stripped in step 3) to each
wire on the Flagpole Light Fixture.
7. Secure Wire Nuts with electrical tape (not
provided). A water tight connection is
required for reliability and safety.
8. Mount Transformer to wall and plug into
receptacle.
9. Cover photo cell, power will be activated and
light fixture will turn on after approximately 40
seconds.
10. You are finished! Remove the cover from the photo cell and
light fixture will turn off.

11. The photo cell can be operated in two (2) formats, using the
switch (see Fig 6) on the rear of the transformer.
AUTO = On at dusk and off at dawn
4H, 6H, or 8H =
Photocell can be used
with electronic timer.
For example, by placing
Position Switch to 4H
the light will turn on at dusk and run for 4 hours. Run
time can also be set for 6 or 8 hours, by adjusting the
switch position.
