Keys and doors
mend that you consult a SUBARU dealer.
NOTE
. The remote keyless entry system
does not operate when the key is
inserted in the ignition switch or when
any of the doors or the rear gate is not
fully closed.
. If any of the doors (or the rear gate)
is not fully closed, the turn signal lights
will flash five times to alert you that the
doors (or the rear gate) are not properly
closed.
. For models with "keyless access
with push-button start system", the
front door may be unlocked if you grip
the front door handle while an access
key is in the operating range of the
door unlock function. Pull the rear door
handle to make sure that the doors
have been locked.
!
Door unlock selection function (ex-
cept models with double locking
system)
The door unlock selection function makes
it possible to unlock the driver's door
without unlocking any other doors.
! Unlocking doors with the unlock
function
1. With all doors closed, pressing the
unlock button causes only the driver's
door to unlock.
2. If you press the unlock button again
within 5 seconds of unlocking the driver's
door, all of the other doors including the
rear gate will be unlocked.
The operational/non-operational setting
for this function can be changed by a
SUBARU dealer.
Operational: Only the driver's door is
unlocked.
Non-operational: All doors including the
rear gate are unlocked.
For further details, we recommend that
you consult a SUBARU dealer.
!
Automatic locking (except models
with double locking system)
If the unlock button is pressed but any
door or the rear gate is not opened, all the
doors and the rear gate are automatically
locked in 30 seconds. The automatic
locking function's operational/non-opera-
tional setting and the setting for the
locking time period (the time period after
S02AE1005
which locking takes place) can be chan-
ged.
Models with genuine SUBARU naviga-
tion system:
The automatic locking function's opera-
tional/non-operational setting and the
S02AE100501
setting for the locking time period can be
changed using the monitor. For details,
please refer to the Owner's Manual
supplement for the navigation system.
Models without genuine SUBARU navi-
gation system:
The automatic locking function can be
canceled by a SUBARU dealer. We
recommend that you contact the nearest
SUBARU dealer for details.
