Note: if the glycol/water mix is too concentrated, the water flow and water pump will be affected and the efficiency
of the unit will be decreased. The above table is for reference only and you should use a glycol/water solution that is
suited to local conditions. Using an incompatible Glycol may invalidate your warranty.

You must fit a filter or Y-strainer in-line on the return pipe
between the buffer tank (or Low Loss Header) and the
ASHP. This is normally fitted in an external location
(outside the property) and must have a full flow lever valve
either side of the strainer to minimise glycol loss during
maintenance.
both advisable and preferable to install a Spirotrap ® (or similar) rather than
the minimum standard Y strainer. Failure to fit a good quality strainer in the
return flow to the unit will invalidate the warranty on the unit. This filter must be cleaned as
part of the annual maintenance cycle.
ESP Strongly recommend the use of a flow setter in the return pipework from the buffer to the
Solis ASHP. This will allow the system flow rate to be optimised for the individual project to
increase efficiency.
Automatic bleed valves (air vents) must be fitted at all high points in the system. The Solis will
shut down if air is in the system because the water flow switch will recognize air in the system
as no water flow and a system alarm/protection code will appear on the unit controller (code EF
or P6).
A suitable strainer, flexible hoses, flow setter, lever valves and swing-check valves can
be supplied as part of the optional fittings pack.

3.4 Electrical Connection

There are three electrical connections to be made to the Solis ASHP.
Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified
electrician and in accordance with current regulations.
Under no circumstances should power be connected to the unit
Failure to do so may be hazardous, may lead to prosecution
