  • Page 4: Before You Start

    Before You Start Caution: Although you will find the process to change the lamp to be very simple, please read the warnings on this page and go through each of the following pages step by step. Caution: It is very important that you NEVER TOUCH THE GLASS SURFACE OF THE LAMP. Touching the glass surface will deposit oils from your hand onto the lamp surface.
  • Page 5: Turn Off The Tv

    Step 1 of 13 Turn Off The TV. Press the POWER button on the remote control or TV front panel. Warning: Although turning off the TV allows the lamp to cool, it does not mean that the lamp will immediately be cool enough to handle safely. Please wait at least one hour before proceeding to replace the lamp.
  • Page 6 Step 2 of 13 Unplug The TV. Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet. Make sure that the LAMP LED light has stopped blinking before you unplug the TV. Never attempt to replace the lamp with the TV plugged in.
  • Page 7 Step 3 of 13 Locate The Lamp Cover. The Lamp cover is located on the left side of the TV towards the back.
  • Page 8 Step 4 of 13 Remove The Lamp Cover. To access the lamp you will need to remove the lamp cover. You can use a coin or screwdriver to turn and loosen the screw. Once fully loosened you can remove the cover.
  • Page 9 Step 5 of 13 Loosen The Screws Holding The Lamp. Using a Philips head type screwdriver, loosen the two screws fastening the lamp.
  • Page 10 Step 6 of 13 Remove The Old Lamp. Remove the lamp by raising the handle and gently pull the lamp straight out.
  • Page 11 Step 7 of 13 Install The Replacement Lamp. Holding the handle attached to the replacement lamp, slide and push the replacement lamp straight into the lamp housing area.
  • Page 12 Step 8 of 13 Tighten The Screws Holding The Lamp. Confirm the lamp is placed in the lamp housing evenly. Using a Philips head type screwdriver, tighten the two screws fastening the lamp.
  • Page 13 Step 9 of 13 Re-insert And Tighten The Lamp Cover. Re-insert the lamp cover and tighten the screw of the lamp cover. Please ensure that it is securely fastened. NEVER turn on the TV if this door is not securely closed.
  • Page 14 Step 10 of 13 Plug Back Into The AC Outlet. Plug the power chord into the AC outlet.
  • Page 15 Step 11 of 13 Turn ON The TV. Press the POWER button on the remote control or TV front panel. Confirm that the New Lamp and TV are working properly by waiting for the picture to appear.
