Changing the Hydraulic
Fluid
Service Interval: Every 800 hours
If the fluid becomes contaminated, contact your
authorized Toro distributor, because the system must

be flushed. Contaminated fluid looks milky or black
when compared to clean oil.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, engage the
parking brake, lower the cutting units, shut off
the engine, and remove the key.
2.
Raise the hood.
3.
Disconnect the case return line from the bottom
of the reservoir and let the hydraulic fluid flow
into a large drain pan.
4.
Install the hose when the hydraulic fluid stops
draining.
5.
Fill the reservoir with hydraulic fluid; refer to
Checking the Hydraulic-Fluid Level (page

6.
Install the reservoir cap.
7.
Turn the key in the key switch to the O
to start the engine. Use all the hydraulic controls
to distribute hydraulic fluid throughout the
system, and check for leaks.
8.
Turn the key in the key switch to the O

9.
Check the fluid level and add enough to raise
