A “T” handle manual gas valve must be installed in the gas supply line to the installed dryer at the location of operation. If a flexible gas connector is used to connect the dryer, the connector may not be longer than 3 ft.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Make sure that the exhaust hood flapper or louvers move freely. If you do not have an exhaust hood installed, see Exhaust hood types on page 16 for information about recommended hood types. We recommend that you have a professional install the exhaust hood. Connect one end of the exhaust ducting to your dryer, then use duct tape to secure the ducting to your dryer.

Connect the neutral wire (white or center wire) of the power cord to the center terminal screw of the terminal block.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Remove the center terminal block screw. Connect the ground wire (green or unwrapped) of the power cord to the external ground conductor screw. Connect the neutral wire (white or center wire) of the power cord and the appliance ground wire (white) under the center screw of the terminal block. Connect the other wires to the outer terminal block screws.

While supporting the door, remove the four hinge screws on the body of the dryer, then lift the door to remove it. CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the door when removing the screws.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Remove the remaining 14 screws that secure the inside door cover to your dryer door. Dryer door Door latch To remove the inside door cover, insert a putty knife next to each of the five tabs (three at the top and two at the bottom) and pry the cover off. Note: If you don’t have a putty knife, you can use a flathead screwdriver.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 10-Cycle Electric and Gas Dryers Step 3: Move the hinges Lift off each hinge, turn it around (180°), and place it on the other side of the dryer door. Make sure that the hinge is aligned with the holes in the door. Remove the two hinge plugs from the inside door cover, then place them in the dryer door where the hinges used to be.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 4: Replace the door cover Rotate the door cover 180° and align it with the door. Squeeze the door cover back onto the dryer door. Place the latch on the side opposite the hinges and secure with two screws. Secure the door cover using the remaining 14 screws you removed in Step 2: Remove the door cover on page 27.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 10-Cycle Electric and Gas Dryers Step 5: Move the hinge plates On the main body of your dryer, use a putty knife to remove the two hinge plates. Note: If you don’t have a putty knife, you can use a flathead screwdriver. Be careful: a screwdriver may scratch your dryer.
