Additional Safety Instructions for Electric Hedge Trimmer • Use non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves when operating the hedge trimmer and when installing or removing blades. • Replace any blade that has been damaged. Always make sure blades are installed correctly and securely fastened before each use. Failure to do so can cause serious injury.
OPERATION Connecting to power supply (Fig. 2) This product is designed with a cable strain relief (6) that prevents the extension cord from being pulled loose while using. 1. Form a loop with the end of the extension cord. 2. Insert loop portion of extension cord through opening (7) in the bottom of the rear handle and place over cable strain relief.

Improper handling of hedge trimmer could result in serious injury. WARNING: Clear the area to be cut before each use. Remove all objects such as cords, lights, wire, or loose string which can become entangled in the cutting blade and create a risk of electric shock and serious personal injury.
OPERATION (Cont.) Tips for Using Your Electric Hedge Trimmer • Attention! Reverse blade. Before all maintenance and cleaning work, pull out the power plug. Do not touch moving blades. • Clean the hedge shears with a dry towel, particularly the ventilation slits, after each use or using a brush in the case of heavy soiling.
