Press the UTILITY button on the unit to display
the [UTILITY 2/3] menu, and tap [USB
CONNECT].
When a connection is established, "ID-0060" is
displayed.

Click [Next] on Firmware Updater.
The connection will be verified.
[Notes]
Do not turn off the unit from this point under any
circumstance until the update is complete.
[Tips]
ˎ If the USB cable was mistakenly connected to the
ˎ
USB port (MAIN) on the rear of the unit, the following
message appears. Check the connection, and
connect the cable to the USB port on the right side of
the unit properly.
ˎ If a USB connection between the unit and the
ˎ
computer cannot be detected, a message indicating
that the unit could not be found will appear on the
computer side. In such cases, try the following.
– Disconnect the USB cable, and connect it again.
– If your computer has multiple USB ports, try using
a different port. (Depending on the computer,
additional USB ports may be located on the rear.)

Check the current version, and click [Next].
The version that appears in the [Current
version] field will be updated.

The following appears, and the unit will restart.
[Automatically reset the connected device]
The update will start after the unit restarts.
A progress bar appears during the update
process (5 to 10 minutes).

Do not turn off the unit or disconnect the USB cable
under any circumstance while update is in progress.

When update is complete, click [Finish] and
disconnect the USB cable.

Press the UTILITY button on the unit to display
the [UTILITY 3/3] menu, and check that both
MAIN and SUB have been updated under
[VERSION].
This completes the update procedure.
[Notes]
ˎ Before using the unit after an update, be sure to check the
ˎ
values for each setting.
ˎ If the unit is operating abnormally after update of
ˎ
either the MAIN firmware or SUB firmware, disconnect
and connect the power cord. If you disconnected and
connected the power cord after update of the MAIN
firmware was complete, start update of the SUB firmware
after the reconnection. You do not need to update the
MAIN firmware again.
