INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE heavy duty buffer/polisher. Before attempting to use this product, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, and you can look forward to your purchase giving you long and satisfactory service.
POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS 1) WORK AREA 1. Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents. 2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

5. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. 6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
4. DO NOT touch the workpiece immediately after polishing as it may be hot. 5. DO NOT touch the buffing mop whilst operating or whilst plugged into the mains power. 6. DO NOT leave the buffer/polisher running unattended. 7. When not in use, switch the buffer/polisher off and unplug from the power supply.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WARNING: READ THESE ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FULLY BEFORE CONNECTING THE PRODUCT TO THE MAINS SUPPLY. This product is provided with a standard, 230 volt (50Hz), BS 1363 plug, for connection to a standard, domestic electrical supply. Should the plug need changing, make sure that a plug of identical specification is used.

ASSEMBLY MOUNTING THE BUFFER 1. Bolt the buffer to a workbench using the mounting holes shown. • Check that all nuts and bolts are secure before turning the machine on. FITTING BUFFING/POLISHING MOPS 1. Place the polishing mop between the retaining washers and secure with the small washer and retaining nut, hand tight.
USING YOUR BUFFER WARNING: BEFORE COMMENCING WORK, ENSURE YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Plug the buffer into the power supply. 2. Switch the buffer on. 3. Slowly bring the workpiece into contact with the buffing/polishing mop.
