INSTALLATION
A) For Models; (Using Side Exit)
HZ54E, HZ33CE, HZ40E, P33, P33CE,
P33E, P36, P36E, P36D, U900E, U1500E,
G800EC and G800C.
NOTE: Installation of Heat Wave duct kit should
be done prior to drywall installation.
1. Remove the cover plate from the fireplace
side and discard.
Remove the 2 screws holding the cover plate
on the fireplace side.
2. Remove the knock-out and bend the tabs
outward.

B) For P90; (Using Top Exit)
1) Remove the knockout plate from the fire-
place top and discard.

2) Bend the tabs outward.

3. Cut out and remove the insulation under the
top opening.
4. Push Round Duct Collar through to inner
shell top and attach to all 3 tabs on fireplace
top with screws.

C) For the City 40 Series; (Using Top Exit)
install adaptor kit # 656-995
1. Attach collar to base of adaptor with 4
screws as shown below.
2) Attach assembly to unit in location shown
below with 4 screws.
NOTE: Heatwave adaptor may be installed on
either left or right side.
D) For the City 72 Series
NOTE: Install the Heatwave venting to the
unit before moving unit into framing to allow
access to secure the adaptor and flex pipe.
1. Remove the deflector from the top of the unit
by removing 4 screws.
2. Remove the knockout from the top of the
unit and recycle.

3. Fold up 3 tabs up as shown.
4. Connect pipe adaptor to the tabs with 3 screws
(use the lower holes on the adaptor).
