3. Hemostat Pliers (8 in. long) - 96900816 1. Disconnect the power and data cables. 2. Open the Top Cover of the ExpressCard1000 by inserting and turning the key, gently grasping the top handles of the Cover, and lifting upward. The Cover will lift up and fold in half, exposing the Printer beneath.

6. With the turntable at a 45° angle you be able to see the bezel of I380 encoder and the stuck card(s) through an opening on the I380. See figure 3. Figure 3 Rev: 2.01 P/N: 99875454...

Insert the straight pick between the encoder head wires and the I380 body as shown in figure 4. Carefully position the pick in such a way that keeps the head wires away from the opening where the card is visible. Note: If the encoder wires are damaged in any way the encoder will need to be replaced.

8. When the 90° pick is firmly against the card surface pull forward slowly and the card(s) will move toward the exit of the bezel. The pick may need to reposition several times before enough card surface is exposed. Once enough card surface protrudes from the I380 bezel, grab the card using the Hemostat pliers and pull the card from the I380.
