Using the Camcorder for
the First Time
After purchasing the Sony PXW-X400 Solid-
State Memory Camcorder (hereinafter,
"camcorder"), it is necessary to set the time zone,
date, and time of the internal clock and to set the
user language.
For details about how to configure settings, refer
to the Operating Instructions for the camcorder.
Note
Always turn the camcorder off before attaching/
removing peripheral devices and accessories.

The supplied CD-ROM includes operation
manuals for the unit in PDF format.
The manual can be read on a computer with
Adobe Reader installed.
You can download Adobe Reader free from the
Adobe website.

CD-ROM.

Select and click on the manual that you
want to read.
Note
If you have lost or damaged the CD-ROM, you can
purchase a new one from your Sony dealer or Sony
service counter.
