    SETUP Enclosure and Sled Setup !!NOTE: ATC IS SHIPPED WITHOUT VACUUM PLUG OR SWITCH PLUG INSTALLED-FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AND DO NOT IMMERSE WITHOUT SECURING THESE PLUGS!! 1. To install/change batteries, the rear end cap must be removed. Detach the shackle securing the light cables to the frame; these cables must be free when removing the end cap.

Connect the batteries ensuring each battery connector is firmly inserted into the parallel adapter.   • Page 10 Figure 6 4. Smear a small amount of silicone grease on the o-rings and reinsert the electronics enclosure. The best method is to brace the sled from the front and pull the end cap into the enclosure with a hand on each side of the end cap (Figure 7).
  • Page 11 5. Attach the bare end of the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump. Attach the vacuum connector to the vacuum port on the end cap. Turn the battery isolator all the way to the “ON” position (the system should power on, with LEDs flashing and tones from the Pixhawk). Pump the enclosure down to a vacuum of 10 inHg and leave for 15 minutes (Figure 8).
  • Page 12 6. Switch the unit off by turning the battery isolator to the off position (all lights should cease flashing) until setup is complete. 7. Remove the dummy plug from the tether bulkhead, and connect the rubberised waterproof connector, paying attention to routing the cable as per Figure 9 (cable must not be routed over the top of the uppermost spacer), and being sure to match the alignment pin with its corresponding socket.

    Topside Setup Figure 11 9. Connect the topside connector (Figure 11) to the communications box “SIGNAL IN” port. Connect the USB 5v to 12v adapter from your PC USB port to the communications box “12V IN” port. Once power is supplied, the LED should light up solid green.

Be sure the switch is turned all the way clockwise to seal the o-rings completely. The LEDs should flash, and tones should play from the Pixhawk. Open QGroundControl and the live video feed and vehicle data should be displayed within 1 minute of starting up.
