The Uconnect 12.1 system incorporates the normal functions and features of the Uconnect system,
but also includes a 12.1-inch touchscreen that emulates an officer's laptop, if connected.
The UConnect 12.1 system allows the customer the ability to move their PC out of the front seat,
freeing up passenger space that is typically occupied by laptop mounts and auxiliary screens (i.e.
Radar/Camera screen) .
The system consists of a resistive touchscreen that is designed to be used with all types of gloves.
It operates from -40° C to 85° C (-40° F to 185° F).
The vehicle's radio is mounted behind the touchscreen. The touchscreen acts as a radio display
and input only, so diagnosing the audio system will follow standard procedures found in
TechCONNECT. Unlike other FCA audio systems, the Uconnect 12.1 system is not WIFI capable,
however the Bluetooth system operates normally, and can be paired with an officer's phone.
