Defrosting frozen food

The defrosting method should be chosen to suit the food
and purpose so as to retain the product quality as well
as possible.
Defrosting methods:
In the fridge compartment (especially suitable for ani-
mal products such as fish, meat, cheese and quark)
At room temperature (bread)
In a microwave (food to be eaten or cooked
immediately)
In an oven/cooker (food to be eaten or cooked
immediately)
Caution!
Do not refreeze defrosted food. It can only be refrozen
after it has been made into a ready-to-eat meal (cooked
or roasted).
Do not then leave the frozen food in the freezer for the
maximum storage period.
