BATTERY INSTALLATION and INITIAL SET UP
1. Place receiver and transmitter on a flat surface. Avoid getting close to possible interference sources
(electronic devices and radio installations).
2. Remove the protective foil from the display of the receiver.
3. Remove the receiver mount.
4. Remove the battery cover and insert (2) AAA batteries into the compartment according to the "+" and
"–" polarity symbols. Replace the battery compartment cover.
5. Slide the on/off switch up to "on". The LCD screen will light up for 3 seconds and beep.
6. Default settings on the receiver:
MEAT: BEEF
TASTE: WELL
SET TEMP: 170°F
7. Open the transmitter battery cover and insert (2) AAA batteries into the compartment according to the
"+" and "–" polarity symbols. Replace the battery compartment cover.
8. Slide the on/off switch to "on." The LED indicator will flash red and send a signal to the receiver.
9. Insert probe wire plug into the transmitter.
Always replace all batteries at the same time; do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline,
standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nicad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle
batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if
thermometer will not be used for a long period of time.
RECEPTION OF THE TRANSMITTER TEMPERATURE VALUE
If the transmitter power is not switched to "on", or the probe sensor is not inserted, the receiver will display
--.- for COOK TEMP and the wireless symbol will display
After the transmitter power is switched on and the probe sensor is inserted, the receiver will display the
current temperature and the wireless symbol will display

MODE SELECTION

Press TEMP/TIMER button to select the mode using the symbol
UNIT: °F
MODE: TEMP
TIMER: 00:00
. This indicates that no signal is received.
