Important:
Always wear a helmet with guard
Improper use of the Hit-A-Way can result in serious injury. Read and follow
enclosed instructions for the proper and safe use of Hit-A-Way before you begin:
» Read all setup and usage instructions carefully.
» Setup and proper positioning are critical for the safe use of your Hit-A-Way.
» Always inspect the Hit-A-Way before using. Do not use if it appears to be damaged.
» Children under the age of 16 should always have an adult present.
» If you swing beyond the ball and sleeve and into the cord, it is possible to lose control of the bat.
While this event is unlikely, it may result in you striking yourself with the bat.
» Placing a home plate as a point of reference will help reduce the likelihood that you will step forward
and swing into the cord.

Set-Up Instructions:

1. Find and secure a suitable hitting area, pole, tree, etc. with approximately 12 feet around pole.
(Do not attach to any street signs.)
2. Attach hook and loop enclosure straps approximately 4 feet apart. Top strap should be
approximately 5' - 6' from bottom of pole and bottom strap should be approximately 2' from
bottom of pole.
3. Extend ball from pole as though it were in play and adjust the hitting height of the ball to the
desired position. To lower ball to your desired hitting height (Fig. 1), push the lower cord out of
the ball while firmly holding the ball. Pull the excess upper cord back through the ball's upper
thread (Fig. 2). To raise the ball hitting height, reverse the process (Fig. 3).
