– DC or AC voltage is detected:
– above 10 V (VT Master)
– above 6 V (VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro)
Automatic switch-off
If no signal is detected on the test probes, the de-
vice turns off after approximately 10 seconds.
► When you finish working with the device,
reconnect both parts and place the protective
cap on the test probes.

4.4 Self-test

VT Master:
► Once the voltage tester has been switched off
for at least 30 seconds, close the test probes
briefly.
VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro:
► Press the test key for at least 2 seconds.
The test probe illumination, the ELV warning and
the audio signal will be activated for a couple of
seconds. VT Digi Pro: All display segments will be
shown.
A self-test is carried out automatically after
every battery change.

4.5 Switching on the test probe illumination

► Press the test key.
The test probe illumination is switched on. It will
remain switched on for as long as the test key is
pressed.

4.6 Using the test probe extension

The test probe extension makes it easier to per-
form tests on Schuko sockets.
► Screw the extensions completely onto both
test probes.
► Once they are no longer needed, remove the
extensions and store them in the accessories
bag.

4.7 Using the test probe cover

► Place the test probe covers (GS 38) up to the
stop on both test points before starting test-
ing.
► Once they are no longer needed, remove the
covers and store them in the accessories
bag.

5 Carrying out the tests

5.1 Voltage test

If the "Voltage present" display does not
appear, it is strongly recommended that
the earthing device is engaged before car-
rying out the work.
► Connect both test probes to the test object.
If a voltage > 37 V AC and > 92 V DC is detected,
a warning signal will sound.
The polarity is displayed visually:
VT Master
AC voltage: + and – 12 V LEDs light up
Positive DC voltage: +12 V LED lights up
Negative DC voltage: – 12 V LED lights up
VT Combi Pro
AC voltage: + and – 6 V LEDs light up
Positive DC voltage: – 6 V LED lights up
Negative DC voltage: – 6 V LED lights up
VT Digi Pro
AC voltage: AC symbol is displayed
Positive DC voltage: + DC symbol is displayed
Negative DC voltage: – DC symbol is displayed
The device automatically measures in the range
specified for the respective model.
