11.1 PROFIBUS-DP-Interface
11.1.1 Product description
The PROFIBUS-DP interface provides an additional field bus connection. All functions and parameters
can be addressed directly, e.g. from a Simatic S7 control system. The interface can be plugged into
the technology slots TECH1 or TECH2 or the ARS 2300 servo positioning controller.
As a special feature, S7 function blocks have been developed for the drives controllers. Using these
function blocks, the drive controllers can be controlled directly by the PLC program and the users can
integrate their systems easily and clearly into the Simatic S7 environment.
