3 PRINTING FROM MACINTOSH

Printing from an Application on Mac OS X 10.2.4 to Mac OS X 10.5.x

Once you have installed the PPD file as described in "Installing the Printer on Mac OS X 10.2.4 to Mac OS X 10.5.x" of the
Software Installation Guide, you can print directly from most of the Mac OS X applications.

Considerations and limitations

If you print a PDF file with the "Preview" application on Mac OS X 10.2.x, the page order will be incorrect. Use Adobe
Reader.
The Cover Pages option of the Printer Features menu is available for Mac OS X 10.3.x or later.
The Cover Pages option of the Printer Features menu and the booklet printing cannot be used at the same time.
The Cover Pages option of the Printer Features menu and the N-up printing (multiple pages per sheet) cannot be used
at the same time.
The Cover Pages option of the Printer Features menu and the Cover Page option for sending a print job with a banner
page cannot be used at the same time.
To perform proof printing, private printing or scheduled printing on Mac OS X 10.5.x, use LPR, AppleTalk or Bonjour.
To use the user authentication function, adjust the domain settings on [Applications] > [Utilities] > [Directory Access] >
[BSD Flat and NIS].
