Chapter 1:

Product installation and operation

Ensure safe effective use of the product.
• This product must be installed and operated in accordance with the instructions provided. Failure
to do so could result in personal injury, damage to your vessel and/or poor product performance.
Warning: Potential ignition source
This product is NOT approved for use in hazardous/flammable atmospheres. Do
NOT install in a hazardous/flammable atmosphere (such as in an engine room or
near fuel tanks).

Service and maintenance

This product contains no user serviceable components. Please refer all maintenance and repair to
authorized dealers. Unauthorized repair may affect your warranty.

AIS transceivers generate and radiate radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy (EME).

Compliance Statement (Part 15.19)

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:

This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.

FCC Interference Statement (Part 15.105 (b))

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
