- Page 2 Overview Wicher 508i card has been designed for the Amiga 500/500+ line of computers. It should be installed in the original CPU socket that is located on the Amiga’s motherboard. Wicher 508i provides 11 MB of additional SDRAM FAST RAM memory, IDE controller and the I2C controller. In order to properly support the IDE controller, Kickstart 2.05 (37.350) or newer is required.
- Page 3 Installing the CPU in Your Wicher 508i Card Wicher 508i card supports the following processor models: MC68HC000 in the PLCC-68 packaging. The CPU should be installed in the socket located on the card, in the position indicated in the following picture.
- Page 4 Wicher 508i card has been designed for installation inside the Amiga 500/500+ computer. After removing the original MC68000 CPU, one can start the proper Wicher 508i card installation. In order to carry it out, the pins found at the bottom side of the card, should be carefully inserted into the U1 chip socket, and then the card should be gently pressed, until it seats firmly.

- Page 6 IDE Device Installation Wicher 508i’s built-in IDE controller uses the IDE44 port that is compatible with devices such as hard drives and IDE- CF/IDE-SD adapters. When installing any IDE device, please ensure the correct orientation of the pin no. 1 by following the labeling on the Wicher 508i card.
