Network Services
LlC6 can be 'primary', 'control', 'secondary', or 'tributary'.
Defines attachment to DDS network, or limited-distance connection.
The receive clock provided to the host by the LlC6 is always recovered from the
rec~ived
signal.
The transmit clock can be provided to the host by the LlC6 in two different
modes:
• Internal clock generation within the LlC6: this mode gives better perform-
ances in LDM connections
• Network clock used to generate transmit clock (synchronous mode).
• If selected (default option), the LlC6 intercepts and executes LPOA-2 com-
mands
• If disabled, the LlC6 ignores LPDA-2 commands
• Since LPDA-2 commands flow into the LlC6 like other pieces of data, the
disable option may be selected if there is a chance that the LPOA-2 header
may be erroneously detected in the data bit stream. The LPDA-2 header is
guaranteed unique for the following data transmission protocols:
SOLC NRZI
BSC USACII or EBCDIC.
ALC.

If the option 'network services' is selected on the local Lle6; the option 'network services' or 'LPDA-2 enable'
must be selected on the remote DSU/CSU.
