The Quick Search feature locates the beginning of each recording
on a tape, then plays the first portion of the recording at high
speed for 30 seconds. After it plays the portion, the VCR fast for-
wards the tape to the next recording. This process is repeated
until the end of the tape is reached, or until you stop the Quick
Search.

Press the QUICK SEARCH button. The VCR will fast for-
ward the tape to the beginning of the next recording. The VCR
will play the tape at high speed for 30 seconds, then go to the
next recording.
To skip immediately to the beginning of the next recording on the
tape, press the QUICK SEARCH button on the remote control.

To resume normal tape playback, press the PLAY/o but-
ton.

Helpful Hints
• There must be a tape in the VCR.
• This function will not operate during
a recording.
• To cancel a Quick Search that is in
progress, press the STOP/p button.
• When the end of a tape is reached
during a Quick Search, the VCR will
rewind the tape to the beginning,
eject the tape, and turn itself off. If
a real-time counter memory is set,
the VCR will rewind the tape to the
point at which the real-time counter
was set to zero, then stop.
