    Scene Mode Scene Mode is your default live view mode. Scene mode replicates the vivid color and contrast of the scenery in front of you. Experience a brighter image that focuses automatically and zoom in up to 12 times magnification.

    • Use your magnetic braided power cable to watch TV for longer periods of time. Note, this connection will not charge your headset. Refer to “Charging IrisVision” for details. Wait for the beep or microphone to appear before saying the word/phrase.

  • Page 39 Bioptic Mode Continued The center point of the magnified view in the rectangle should correspond with the center of the unmagnified view. TIP: • Practice viewing objects in the center viewfinder of the screen by keeping your head steady and zooming in on the touchpad.

    Reading Mode: Black / White This mode presents reading material with black letters on a white background. This mode is best for reading text material like books or papers without color. Note: For reading magazines or materials with color, it is best to return to Scene mode.

    IrisReader IrisReader uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read aloud text selected by the user. 1. Cycle to IrisReader mode and center the text you would like to have read on the screen. If possible, bring the reading material within about 8-10 inches from your headset making sure the text is not cut off on either side of the screen.

    Reading Mode: Inverted This mode is a variation of Reading mode which provides white letters on a black background. This enhances the contrast and provides reduced glare on the screen, which can be helpful for those overwhelmed by bright scenes.     Reading Line Mode The Reading Line mode presents text in black letters on a white background. It also provides a magnification bar in the center of the screen to magnify one or more lines of text while allowing a normal view above and below the bar. Increase the size of the reading line by slowly swiping up on the touchpad.

    Reading Mode: Green This mode is a variation of Reading mode which shows black text on a green background. This may also help reading by providing better screen contrast without the brightness of a white background. TIP: Use the brightness switch to make the green background brighter or darker.

    Reading Mode: Yellow This mode is a variation of Reading mode which shows black text on a yellow background. It increases screen contrast without the brightness of a white background and is helpful when reading for extended periods of time.     Photo Gallery Photo Gallery mode allows you to view snapshots you have saved. 1. Cycle to Photo Gallery mode. 2. Change the highlighted picture by swiping left, right, up, or down. 3. Select and open the highlighted picture by tapping the touchpad once.

    Video Player Video Player mode enables you to stream YouTube videos when on Wi-Fi. The video player features voice-enabled search, so you can easily find, play, pause and even magnify videos as you are watching. 1. Search: Double tap the touchpad to activate voice search.

    Remember: do not walk around while wearing IrisVision. Reading: Hold your reading material in front of you in a normal reading position and move your head, not your arms, to scan the text.
  • Page 56 The headset will not enter sleep mode when in Television mode. It is recommended to turn off the IrisVision unit when not in use. You can do so by pressing down the white tab on top of the headset for 5 seconds.

    1. Plug in the wireless charging pad to an electrical socket. Note: Please make sure your headset is turned on. 2. Center the IrisVision headset face down on the included wireless charging pad. You will hear a verbal prompt (when voice prompts are enabled) and see a solid red light illuminate on the charging pad when the headset is properly placed on the charging pad.

    Cleaning Tips for Your IrisVision Headset • Make sure you wipe the outer parts of the headset with a dry soft cloth or wipe. The touch pad can collect the oil from your fingers as you operate the headset, so wiping down every now and then is recommended.
