    “isolator threshold” on the PCB. This capacitor is very commonly used in similar optical compressor/limiter circuits. In the Gale project, the jumpers have been omitted, so you can just decide whether to include the capacitors or leave them off. On the unit that was traced, both jumpers were unpopulated, so both capacitors were disconnected.
