Installing and Cabling the AUI MM-10 (DLXAU)

Introduction

The AUI MM-10 is part of the MM-10 product family (which also includes the 10BaseFL, 10BaseT, 10Base2, and
Reverse AUI). It connects a host module such as the DIGITAL MultiSwitch Hub 624T directly to a Media
Attachment Unit (MAU) or to an end device via up to 50 meters of AUI cable. The MM-10 has jumpers that control
the MM-10 configuration, such as monitoring transmit or receive data.

Configuring Jumpers on the AUI MM-10 Option Card

The MM-10 jumper is set to the most commonly-used configuration. For special applications or troubleshooting,
you may wish to reconfigure the jumper setting. Refer to the following figure and table.

    AUI MM-10 installed in the right-hand slot of the carrier card. Hold the AUI MM-10 by its bezel and align the edges of the MM-10 (1) with the card guides (2) in the Carrier Card.
