2. Trouble shooting procedures

2-1. Mask diagnostic operation

The model CE-6000/7000 series and TK-6000/7000 series have the Mask diagnostic
operation in the machine.
The following test can be checked in the Mask diagnostic operation.
1) Flash ROM data erase after write test
2) RAM read after write test
To start the Mask diagnostic operation, perform the following operation.
START
Turn off the power switch and set the Mode switch to PGM position.
While pressing the reset switch and <JOURNAL FEED> button, turn the power switch on.
Release the reset switch first and then release the <JOURNAL FEED> button.
Then, the machine shows following code on the display.
( If it is no display, please refer the section 2-4 of page XX for repair.)
Display "EEEEEEEEEE" means the non application in Flash ROM.
If the display "EEEEEEEEEE", please retry from START.
Display "0000000000" means waiting the IPL start command.
Input code "99990000" and press <SUB TOTAL> button.
Mask diagnostic program is started.
Flash ROM data erase operation.
Display " XX
Flash ROM write test operation.
Display " XX
RAM1 read/write test operation.
Display "XXX
END
Display "0000000000". This is waiting mode for IPL code input.
If there is error, error code will be displayed.

Display "E9X
Note : If the power failure is happened during Mask diagnostic operation, the
operation will be stopped and will be "EEEEEEEEEE" display.

E91 = Flash ROM erase error.
E92 = Flash ROM write error.
E93 = Flash ROM read error.
