- Page 4 Wiring Winch for Operation Remove cover on right side of winch and plug power cable into appropriate socket. Route the power cord from the winch to the battery in such a way as to avoid any tangling or tripping hazards. Connect BLACK clamp on power cable to your vehicle frame to establish a good ground connection.
