Deflation Rate

In order for the unit to function properly, the deflation
rate needs to be maintained between 3 to 6 mmHg/sec.
The deflation rate on this unit has been properly
adjusted by the factory, but if a larger cuff is used
and the deflation rate is consistently outside of
this range, please perform the following procedure.
Deflation Rate Adjustment
1. Apply the arm cuff to the left
arm and press START/STOP
button.
2. Insert a screw driver into the groove and watch the
deflating pressure on the display. Displayed on the

settle down between 3 to 6 mmHg/sec before the cuff
pressure reaching 150 mmHg, then the rate is fine.

3. If the deflation rate is too
fast or slow, turn counter-
clockwise or clockwise
respectively to a range
between 3 to 6 mmHg/sec.
Turn the screw just a little
bit to prevent damaging
the deflation valve.
4. When the adjustment is completed, turn off the unit and
repeat the above procedures until you have the
proper deflation rate.
Note: When a larger or smaller cuff is used, adjustment
of deflation rate may be needed.
