Configure your phone (if necessary)

indicates the battery level:
When you see the empty battery icon and hear an alert tone from
the handset, the battery level is low and needs recharging.
Full (steady on) Medium (flashing)
When the handset is on the base station/charger, the
battery icon keeps flashing until charging completes.
When the charging completes, the battery icon keeps
steady on.
