Changing probe length

The probe length is already programmed into the instrument. Should you have to physically shorten the
probe for any reason, do not forget to change the probe length programmed in the instrument.
To do so:
1 Select Device Setup > Application Setup > Probe Length.
2 Press Edit.
3 Set the length of the shortened probe and press OK.
The probe length is measured as such:

Selecting tank type

You can set the type of vessel in which the probe will be hanging. The type of vessel impacts the quality
and nature of the signal sent down the probe. The default tank type is Metallic.
To do so:
1 Select Device Setup > Application Setup > Tank Type.
2 Press Edit.
3 Select the type of tank in which the probe will be immersed and press OK.

Setting nozzle length

You can set the length of the nozzle present on your tank. For an illustration of the concept, see Figure
40 on page 53.
To do so:
1 Select Device Setup > Application Setup > Nozzle Length.
2 Press Edit.
3 Set the length of the nozzle present on your tank and press OK.
