Unified Messenger Server. The DPA 7610 translates the messaging between the Unified Messenger Server and the CallManager, and provides a message waiting interface between CallManager, Unified Messenger, and the IP Phones. These Application Notes were written in response to a request from UCS.

The DPA 7610 was intended to integrate CallManager with Octel voice mail systems; these Application Notes describe how it can be used with Unified Messenger. This device can function in one of two modes: simple or hybrid. In simple mode, the DPA connects to the voice mail system and CallManager.

SetLamp message turns the lamp off as a result of clearing the messages. 5. Conclusion As illustrated in these Application Notes, the Avaya™ Unified Messenger in conjunction with the Cisco DPA 7610 Voice Mail Gateway can be configured as the voice mail server for IP phones connected to a Cisco CallManager.
