Cleaning the flue outlet and heat exchanger

1. Remove condensate hose and stench trap from
the heat exchanger.
2. Push on-site hoses

3. Vacuum up combustion residues from the flue
pipe, flue gas collector and heat exchanger
through cleaning apertures

Please note
Contact with unalloyed iron and scratches
on parts in contact with flue gases can lead
to corrosion.
Only use plastic brushes, not wire brushes
or sharp objects.

Checking the water quality

Observe the instructions in chapter "Water quality
requirements".
Enter the amount of top-up water and the total hard-
ness of the feed and boiler water into the table in the
appendix on page 32.
The pH value should be between 8.2 and 9.5.
Checking the neutralising system according to the manufacturer's

4. Coat the heat exchanger coil with cleaning agent
(e.g. Fauch 400/410) through cleaning aperture
and proceed in accordance with the cleaning agent
manufacturer's instructions.
5. Before installation, check the stench trap and con-
densate drain for contamination and clean if
required.
Danger
Escaping flue gas poses a risk to health.
Always connect the condensate drain with a
stench trap to prevent flue gas escaping.
Neutralising system installation and operating
instructions
The total hardness of the feed and top-up water must
not exceed a sum of all alkaline earths of
0.02 mol/m
