ASFRM
The In-Wall On/Off Module is designed to turn on/off lighting and appliances in the home by wireless control
via SmartForce system. On it, two sets of switch contacts provide connection to external wall switches to
allow ordinary manual control. This module can support up to 11A resistive, 1200W incandescent or 320W
(40W*8) fluorescent load.
The ASFRM will need to be learnt to the SmartForce Gateway.
LEARNING ASFRM Module
Please refer to Smart Force Quick Set Up Guide. The easiest way to learn the device is either via through

Safety Precautions before Installation
Avoid installing the unit in stormy or raining weather.
The module needs to be installed in a dry environment free from moisture
Be sure to isolate or switch off mains power before installing or maintenance.
Do ensure that the power supply circuit is protected by a 16 amp circuit breaker or suitable equivalent fuse.
IMPORTANT
Installation must be performed by a skilled person who is familiar with the appropriate standards and
technical requirements of the appliance and its proper installation.Note that the In-Wall On/Off Module
is designed to be installed in a wall switch box or suitable plastic enclosure (do not use a metal box as
this will affect the radio signal strength).
Before proceeding with the installation, TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE WALL SWITCH AT THE
CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK.

Installation
Fix the module bracket securely inside the enclosure, then clip the module in to the bracket
Locating the aerial outside the enclosure may increase the RF rage.
The in-wall module should be connected up to AC mains and the load according to the following diagram.
When connecting the L terminal, it is recommended to use an external terminal block to first split the L
terminal into two wires before inserting into the module as shown below.

Note: Please use the appropriate size cable to suit the circuit and load
The module provides 2 sets of switch contact input S1 and S2. Both input terminals connect to typical
mechanical type wall switches to turn on/off the relay. Input S2 is optional and will toggle the on/off status by
S1.
Note: By default S1/S2 supports Single-Pole-Double-Throw (SPDT) type of binary switch. However, through
the setting of Gateway or using the On/Off button, they can be configured to support Tact/Push-button
switches as well. See the Operation section.
