Easy-start brushing power ramp-up
All Sonicare models come with the Easy-start feature activated (on), which helps you get used to brushing with Sonicare and brushing
power will gently increase to full power over the first 12 brushings. The Easy-start feature is active if you hear 2 beeps immediately after
turning on your Sonicare. Once you reach optimal brushing power (after the 12th brushing), you will no longer hear the double beep at
the beginning of your brushing routine.
Note: Each of the first 12 brushings must be at least 1 minute in length to properly move through the Easy-start ramp-up cycle.
To deactivate or activate the Easy-start feature:
1. Attach your brush head to the handle.
2. Place the handle in a plugged-in charger base.
3. To deactivate the Easy-start feature, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. You will hear 1 beep to
indicate that the Easy-start feature has been deactivated.
4. To activate the Easy-start feature, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. You will hear 2 beeps to indicate that the Easy-start
feature has been activated.
Before turning your Sonicare on, wet the bristles and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
Place bristles against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
Hold the handle with a light grip and gently move the brush head slowly across the teeth in
a small back and forth motion so the longer bristles reach between your teeth. Continue this
motion throughout your brushing cycle.
You may experience a slight tickling/tingling sensation when using your Sonicare toothbrush for
the first time. As you become accustomed to brushing with Sonicare, this sensation will diminish.
