INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING A BURNER ORIFICE
IN A MADISON PARK™ 27 DIRECT-VENT GAS FIREPLACE INSERT

MPI27 and MPI27CD Replacement NG Burner Orifice Kit
IMPORTANT
The burner orifice provided in this kit is only for
use at elevations of 0 to 2,000 feet (610 M) in the
USA and 0 to 4,500 feet (0-1372 M) in Canada. At
higher elevations the BTU input must be de-rated
by 4% for every 1,000 feet (305 M) to maintain
the proper ratio of gas to air. If the installer must
convert the unit to adjust for varying altitudes, a
deration information sticker must be filled out by the
installer and adhered to the appliance at the time
of the conversion. Contact your local gas supplier
for deration requirements for your area.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instruc-
tions or are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you
local distributor or dealer.
READ THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE BEGIN-
NING THE INSTALLATION.
ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND
OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY TO
THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
TURN OFF THE APPLIANCE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY COOL
BEFORE PROCEEDING.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY TO THE APPLIANCE. UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD.
Step 2. Remove the facade by lifting it up and away from the unit to
unseat the facade hooks from the mounting slots on the unit.
Place the facade face down on a soft, non-abrasive surface to
prevent damage.
Step 3. Remove the glass door by unhooking the latch at the upper right
and left of the door (see Figures 1 and 2). The top of the door
can now be pulled away from the firebox and rotated up and off
of the appliance.
