Maintenance
WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and
oil/fuel-resistant gloves, when carrying out maintenance on this strimmer. ALWAYS ensure proper
ventilation.
WARNING: Work away from naked flames, DO NOT smoke, and ensure petrol fumes or spilled fuel
cannot reach potential ignition sources.
WARNING: If fuel or oil is removed during maintenance, fill into suitable sealed containers and
dispose of according to laws and regulations.
WARNING: ALWAYS switch the engine off and wait until all components have completely cooled,
before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance
Note: The maintenance schedule should be adjusted according to use and environment. If the tool
is used frequently, and/or if it is used in harsher environments, shorter maintenance intervals are
required.

Air filter maintenance

Note: Accumulated dust in the air filter will reduce engine efficiency, increase fuel consumption and
allow abrasive particles to pass into the engine. Remove the air filter and clear regularly.
1. Remove the Air Box Cover (17), by unscrewing the Phillips head screw located on the front
(Image M), and lifting the cover off by pinching the sides
2. Tap the filter to remove light surface dust
3. Wash out heavy deposits in a suitable solvent
4. Once dry, replace the filter and the Air Box Cover, and fasten using the Phillips head screw
Fuel filter maintenance
• The Fuel Tank (21) is fitted with a filter situated at the end of the fuel pipe. This can be picked
