    Setup Instructions 1. Extend the crossbar to the desired length. a. For backgrounds without a sleeve: Slide the backdrop over the crossbar and secure it with “A” clamps (available separately). b. For backgrounds with sleeves: push the crossbar through the background’s sleeve. Note: The crossbar should extend out a few inches on either side of the background.

You can drop the center column down to the floor for additional stability if desired by loosening the center column locking knobs, and/or using sandbags for even more stability. Note: Setting the center column so that it is resting on the floor or ground provides additional support for heavy backgrounds.
