3-2 Set up and Operation:
Perform the following steps to set up and operate the monitor.
1.
Place the monitor on a flat surface near the computer and near an AC
power outlet. Be certain that the ventilation slots in the cabinet
are- not blocked or obstruc.ted.
2. Connect the video signal cable from the monitor to the computer.
3.
Plug the power cord into the monitor and then into an AC outlet. Be
certain that the 120/240 VAC selector switch on the rear panel is
set to the correct position.
WARNING: Removing the earth from the AC power source

present a
potentially lethal shock hazard.
4.
Turn on the computer and the monitor. The front panel green LED
should light. The system prompt for the computer should be dis-
played.
5.
Adjust the left panel brightness and contrast controls to obtain a
comfortable display.
If your CM-1480 monitor requires service, refer to the controls and
adjustments information of this publication and verify that all controls
and adjustments on the display are correctly set. If your monitor does
require service, it must be returned with the mains lead.
